I enjoyed tonight's Buffy, despite all the anxiety that show has been causing me lately. Best laugh out loud line of the month "I hate my free will" (how many times have I thought that). Plus, great insight and thoughtful sniffy-ness from Xander toward Dawn. What a terrific guy he is. Rock solid and sweet as chocolate.

oh *yeah*

"I hate my free will"

I hate your free will, too, honey -- otherwise, you'd do everything I tell you, and be my helpless thrall. Just saying...

And everything you said about Xander. Anna (I think) had just been writing about how much she missed old Xander, and this episode brought it all back.

I still wanna shortsheet Buffy for being such a pompous boob, though. Back in the day, Giles gave shorter, pithier speeches than that, and she ridiculed him on a daily basis. I can't wait until the slayerettes start to give her what-for.

Like I'm not your helpless thrall already. :-)
You are a force of nature and I am mostly powerless in the face of your contagious enthusiasm. Witness my current reading.

Yeah, I'm with you on Buffy's lecture style. It was a bit too much, too melodramatic, too OTT for anyone to take seriously. I'll enjoy it when they give her some attitude.
