Jun. 10th, 2003 11:21 amMy life is moving so fast, I can barely breathe. I have 3,000 things to do before 1:30 and this is what I did instead. From
resonant8.
Favorite REM song: "Near Wild Heaven."
Favorite U2 song: "One" tied with "God, Part II."
Favorite Police song: "I Burn for You." (This is sort of cheating -- Sting did this song with the band for a while, but it is more popular from the Bring on the Night Live CD.) I love many of the early political awareness songs -- "Spirits in the Material World," "Driven to Tears," "One World, Not Three," "Synchronicity II." Sigh.
Favorite Driving song: "Bom Bom Azucar" by Ricky Martin, with the sun roof open and the stereo blasting as I creep along the Ventura Highway.
Favorite Sing-Along song: "The Day The Nazi Died," by Chumbawumba.
Artist who has never done a thing I won't listen to: This used to be Sting, but then there was Mercury Falling and I never forgave him. Now I'd have to say...U2, who constantly surprise me.
Artist who just needs to stop and go AWAY: Eminem.
Song that I love because of a happy memory: "Daughter" by Pearl Jam.
Song that is forever tainted because of negative associations: "Corn Flake Girl" by Tori Amos.
Song or Artist that I am ashamed to admit I enjoy: Ah, yes. Shame. So many artists, so much shame. Let's just go with the Boyband genre, and say that even to myself, my defenses sound lame. So I listen to them alone, all alone, and then there's only happiness.

Date: 2003-06-10 04:15 pm (UTC)I'm sorry you're still so insanely busy, cuz I'm missing you. But now I'm thinking of you listening to really good music at least, and that's something.
