struggling not to be a statistic

but all I really want to do is embrace my statistical (seeming) inevitability and read Dissipation and Despair, watch tv and turn my brain to jello.

I got up at 6:30 this morning and right now I have 6 loads of clean laundry and 3 sentences to show for it. I shoulda maybe slept in after all.

Three sentences makes three more sentences, at least. There are times that three sentences is my week's progress on some fiction scene -- usually the sex scene which, as we all know, has to do more than any other part of the story.

Actually, there are times that three sentences is a month's progress. However, sitting in front of the computer and groaning a lot until there are more words sometimes starts things moving.

Good luck. I know it's awfully hard to feel that anything is ever finished, or even coherent, but sometimes it does happen.

It means that those dropouts aren't going to be around to be your competition once you get yours finished!
